Padang is the capital and largest city of West Sumatra, Indonesia. It is located on the western coast of Sumatra an area of 694.96 square kilometres (268.33 sq mi) and a population of up to 1,000,000 people at the 2013 years. And Banda Bakali Rivers water park, is located right in the City Centre of Padang, The Land Of Minangkabau West Sumatra Indonesia, covering an area of 200 hectares. Being an original river it focuses on the concept of a recreational park bringing an image for its uniqueness.

Lying amidst the surrounding of Banda Bakali River Water Park is a recreational public park equipped with jogging track, soccer game, swimming, children’s playground and other outdoor activities.

The Organizing Committee of the 12th Padang International Dragon Boat Festival 2014 (PIDBF Organizing Committee) wish to invite you to participate in the Padang International Dragon Boat Festival 2014 from 22nd to 24th 0f August 2014 to be held at Banda Bakali River Padang City, The Land Of Minangkabau, West Sumatra Indonesia

Competing crews are encouraged to arrive in Padang not later than 21 Aug, 2014.

Competition Classes and Distances
The Racing Classes that will be contested are listed below at the provisional entry form provided sufficient entries are received for each competition class. A minimum of five entries from different organisations are required per competition class.

Rules and Regulations
The 2014 12th Padang International Dragon Boat Festival will be conducted under the PODSI (Indonesian Canoe and Rowing Association) and IDBF (International Dragon Boat Federation) Competition Regulations and Rules of Racing, Copies of which will be forwarded to crews who return completed Named Entries. Information Bulletins will be published to confirm crew entries at a later date.

Hosting

Hosting Free to All International teams for 4 days and 3 nights– (Max: 26 Crews) free accommodation with breakfast, airport transfer and transportation to venue and back to hotel.

Cash Prizes Up to Total of US$ 17,500.00(race 2012 & 2013), Trophies,Certificates and Medals

Photographs
All crews are required to submit one passport-sized (4cm x 6cm) photographs of all competitors, coaches and managers. It is important to note that each picture clearly identify the name and crew of the person. All team leaders can use the photo submission forms for their crew lists. Accreditation tags will be given during team managers meeting.

The above programme is provisional and is provided to assist crews with their initial planning. The programme is subject to change. The competition classes by day will be confirmed after all Numerative Entries have been received.

Accommodation Packages
The Organizing Committee has made arrangements for accommodationl, a two to five-star hotel and We have chosen The Grand Rocky Hotels and Plaza and Ibis Hotel as The Official Hotel Padang International Dragon Boat 2014, The official event accommodation is just 10 minutes from the race course by car or bus.

Transportation:
11. Airport Shuttle Services:
The Organizing Committee has made available bus transportation from Minangkabau International Airport to official event hotel and return to the airport at the conclusion of the event. In order to take advantage of this service, it will be necessary for all (or a significant majority) of crew members and their guests to arrive and depart at the same time and stay at the official event hotel. This service is not available where crew members are arriving or departing at significantly different times on the same day or on different days. Additional transportation charges will be charged for any request beyond the hosted package.
12. Transfer To Race Venue:
The Organizing Committee has made available bus transportation for crews and their registered guests to and from official event hotels and the race venue for one practice day and race days.
